Menteri Perhubungan Mendukung Sail To Indonesia Menuju BMTH Untuk Memperkuat Konektivitas Maritim Dan Logistik

Menteri Perhubungan Budi Karya Sumadi memberikan apresiasi dan dukungan terhadap penyelenggaraan Sail to Indonesia Goes to Bali Maritime Tourism Hub (BMTH) yang diinisiasi oleh PT Pelindo. Menhub mendorong agar kegiatan ini dapat memperkuat konektivitas maritim serta logistik di tingkat nasional. Pernyataan tersebut disampaikan Menhub melalui video daring pada pembukaan acara Sail To Indonesia Goes To BMTH, Rabu (2/10). “Acara ini tidak hanya bertujuan untuk mempromosikan pariwisata bahari Indonesia, tetapi juga harus mampu memperkuat konektivitas maritim dan logistik nasional. Selain itu, kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan hubungan maritim Indonesia dengan negara lain, serta mempromosikan kerja sama dalam bidang logistik, transportasi laut, keamanan, dan konservasi laut,” jelas Menhub. Lebih lanjut, Menhub menekankan bahwa kegiatan ini sangat penting bagi pertumbuhan ekonomi Indonesia. “Inisiatif-inisiatif semacam ini memiliki peranan penting dalam pertumbuhan ekonomi Indonesia, memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap Produk Domestik Bruto (PDB) dan menciptakan lapangan kerja,” tambah Menhub. Menhub juga menyatakan bahwa pemilihan lokasi di Bali Maritime Tourism Hub (BMTH) mencerminkan visi dan misi bersama untuk menjadikan Indonesia sebagai pusat maritim dunia. “Pemilihan BMTH sebagai lokasi acara mencerminkan visi bersama antara Pelindo dan Pemerintah dalam menjadikan Indonesia sebagai pusat maritim global,” ungkap Menhub. Penyelenggaraan acara Sail To Indonesia Goes To BMTH berlangsung dari tanggal 2 hingga 4 Oktober 2024. Kegiatan ini bekerja sama dengan Sail to Indonesia Rally dan dihadiri oleh 30 yacht dari berbagai negara, termasuk Australia, Perancis, Amerika, Inggris, dan Kanada. Menteri Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif, Sandiaga Uno, juga turut hadir secara daring dalam kegiatan tersebut.
